A Wyoming borough man molested a young boy and common child pornography online, according to authorities.
Raymond Shelly Jr., 36, was arraigned Thursday on felony counts of child pornography, criminal use of a communication facility, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a kid, statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors. He was charged with a misdemeanor count of assault.
Authorities received a hint from an account traced to Shelly on the internet about somebody sharing images of child pornography, according to a criminal complaint issued by the state attorney general’s office.
According to the criminal complaint:
On April 20, an undercover agent contacted Shelly via an internet messaging program, and Shelly delivered the agent images of child pornography depicting a young child younger than 13.
On May 9, investigators contacted Shelly in man. He consented to be interviewed without an attorney present, according to the complaint.
Shelly told researchers he was interested in child porn and was trading images of child pornography on the internet for a long time. He confessed to sending the image.
Shelly reported that the majority was stored on his computer at Wyoming borough, in his parents ‘home. He gave consent for authorities to grab his computers and associated apparatus, the complaint states.
When investigators asked him Shelly said he had sexual contact with a boy on seven or eight events this season, when the boy was 10 or even 11.
He said he knows that he needs assistance, according to the complaint and it is wrong.
The boy, ” he said that him touched inappropriately was examined by A nurse practitioner, the complaint states.
Authorities seized Shelly’s personal computer, a tough drive, even a thumb drive and a camera card .
After the arraignment Thursday of Shelly, Magisterial District Judge Joseph Carmody set bail at $ 200,000.
Shelly is currently in Schuylkill County Prison on prices by a separate child pornography situation.
A preliminary hearing on the Luzerne County prices is scheduled for Dec. 18.
